My dad is friends with these guys whose graphic novel got turned into a show called Trese, which is about a detective dealing with monsters in Filipino folklore. When it was closer to release day, they changed it so it looked vandalized and torn up, supposedly by the monsters

would the blair witch count? I wasn't on the Internet at the time but the blair witch project had the actors actual names as the character names and right before the trailer came out the blair witch website that listed them at missing. people thought it was actual found footage for while.
