You’re providing expert human-curated matchmaking for MATRIMONY for a relatively small pool of likely high-earning people from a relatively niche immigrant community. Look at how much Hinge charge for hookups-as-a-service to general public. It needs to be a 3 digit amount. Higher price will weed out unserious people and difficult customers too.

Please establish a terms of service they must select a box (or similar system) that states this is a service … etc etc.. to ensure that you can have hard documents to point to - which will solidify your chargeback. (Sincerely someone who works in the fraud/disputes risk management oversight space) 🥰

Small business owner here. And I have never won a charge back. I own a therapy practice and show that they got the “service” and I still never win. I also show the consent , fee for service I sent them and still no win… I don’t get it.

14 years as a small business owner, and I to have merchant account with chase, they always favor the customer….. I get charge backs from time to time and just gave up submitting proof. I accept it as the nature of the business and black list the customer from future business dealings.

This trend of doing chargebacks because people don’t like the results of that they do or don’t do sucks for small business owners. I’ve had that happen and it was thousands. That’s why I use a different company for all merchant services from the bank that just holds the money. 🙄

After 15 years in the small business space for my own sanity I don’t even argue.I express my sadness at the customers displeasure and initiate the refund. But my products are low cost high profit. My son on the other end is high end collectibles and the scams perpetuated by customers are astounding and yes credit cards always favor their customer. It’s not just frustrating, it’s infuriating. My condolences to you.

I think the bank makes you contact the merchant before you can charge back which is why she sent you the email - as evidence for her "case"
