Hmmm even just this school bus road ,I am staying at hostel currently. how landlord has been lying to us since level 100 and am now going to level 300 this September. so my problem is we were paying 2k and now we are to pay 3.5k next academic year. this things the landlords are doing is really killing us paa now we are to pay part payment before vacation ,if you don't pay you will see your things outside next academic year. please my question is ,are we paying semesters or yearly bases hmmm

It is important for landlords to understand that under current regulations, they are not permitted to demand more than six months’ rent in advance. The Rent Control Department, under the Rent Act, 1963 (Act 220), believes it has legal authority to regulate hostel accommodation pricing and enforce compliance. However, hostel owners argue that this interpretation should be carefully examined, especially since court decisions have not fully clarified or settled all aspects of how these rules apply to private hostels. Ultimately, while regulatory authorities may act under their current legal interpretation, there remains room for legal review and clarification by the courts regarding the extent of their authority and how it applies to private hostel operations.
