This sort of stuff is why I don’t think people are “naturally evil”. I think most every issue we face today is the result of greed, but I think greed is taught. I don’t think it really became a concept until the agricultural revolution. I think it started out of necessity. Farming requires that you accumulate seed. Agriculture was when we first really started conserving and saving, and it got out of hand.

we aren't working under natural selection anymore. we've gotten to the point of being able to steer our direction. we might not know where we're going exactly, but we have figured out how to get the vehicle moving in a direction.
