Yes, they had to trade him (because of their own doing). But I don't understand trading him to a division rival who just knocked you out of the playoffs. The picks also are likely going to be late first round picks, and probably won't be worth much.

Sorry, but you trying so hard making Paul george sounds like such a great player. Yeah he had nice stretch at the end of last season , we literally talking about MVP finals, jaylen brown was the guy for Boston, Tatum is the big name, but jaylen was less injury prone and more consistent, not talking about being at MVP levels last season, tatum and Paul george that are injury prone together cause we can’t know how tatum gonna be back from that injury but he’s not gonna be better than he was.

Partially bad take on Jaylen’s fit. To boil Maxey’s game down to an “iso heavy scorer who needs the ball a lot” is laughable. He excelled off ball with Harden & Joel until they traded Harden and he became the only player who could dribble a basketball these last 3 years. I’m skeptical about Joel tho but I do think Jaylen will be valuable at end of games when it’s known Joel gets gassed and becomes too jump shot heavy/defers offense to others. They’ll miss PG’s playmaking and team defense the most. I’m hopeful Wade & VJ development will help offset the defensive concerns

I just think it’s crazy that ppl think the Celtics will be a play in or miss the playoffs, which is exactly what they said last year without Tatum. With healthy Tatum, great depth, and PG, we will still be a playoff team that can make a deep run even if we have a way lower ceiling without Brown

This is a horrible trade, Celtics shoot too many 3s and now they have an older PG who shoots a lot of jumpers, he’s also always injured only played 50 games each of last 2 seaosns

Paul George is now one of those players who are only great in theory, hasn’t played half the games in a season in over 2 years, only looked his best in Philly after a 25 game rest and can get blown by on defense by the younger guys at times like McBride against the Knicks. Sixers get a little younger and a guy who will likely give you 60+ games and a better chance to win when Embiid needs rest.

This is a terrible Trade idc what anyone says and no the Celtics hasnt been great w/o JB theyve been decent and JB was a top10 player itl The picks are worthless the 76ers now that they added JB are gonna be in the playoffs every season and theyre no way PG ‘fixes’ the Celtics problems he just turned 36 hes injury prone hes very inconsistent especially the 3pt shooting hes not great in the playoffs hes not as athletic as physical as before hes not a better defender than JB How do ppl think this is a good trade😭😭😭 i dont wanna slander PG he was decent this season but very inconsistent and only played 37 games!! Celtics went from a contender to a 1st round exist (ik they lost in the first round but they were a really good team)
