@rtenews: This was the moment a climber got down one knee on a sky-high platform on the Empire State Building in New York City yesterday. Vanya Beerkus appeared to propose to Angela Nikolau after the pair climbed to the top iconic New York structure. The couple displayed a black banner with a message in all-capital white letters that said: “When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace.” The New York Police Department closed down streets around the building and later said they had taken the couple into custody “without incident”.
