Farida Khanum was one of the most celebrated classical and ghazal singers of Pakistan, often called the “Malika-e-Ghazal” (Queen of Ghazal). She was born in 1929 in Calcutta (now Kolkata, India) and later moved to Pakistan after partition. Trained in classical music under great maestros, she mastered the art of expressing deep emotion through her voice. Her singing style is known for its grace, subtlety, and powerful emotional depth. Some of her most famous ghazals include: :-Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo :-Mohabbat Karne Wale Kam Na Honge :-Woh Ishq Jo Hum Se Rooth Gaya Farida Khanum played a major role in popularizing ghazal singing on radio and television, especially through Radio Pakistan. Her voice carries a timeless, melancholic beauty—perfect for listeners who appreciate soulful and introspective poetry. #FaridaKhanum #AajJaaneKiZidNaKaro #GhazalQueen #UrduGhazal #ClassicalVibes
