Imagine you accidentally take the wrong train. The longer you stay on it because “I’ve already been on it for an hour,” the farther you end up from your destination. Relationships work similarly. Time already spent isn’t recovered by spending more time in the wrong one.

lmao I talked with my boyfriend over the phone today because he's visiting family abroad. we've been together for 11 years this month. basically all his friends who he hasn't seen in a year have broken up or divorced their partners. and I said "that's a shame." and he, who nevvver talks about very deep stuff just goes "it sets a strange type of panic in me to know that's even possible. I mean... you're a constant in my life. what would my life be without that constant? horrible. I can't imagine life without you. it just doesn't exist." I know he'll propose soon

I ended 5 years relationship a year and a half ago because we outgrew each other. (we were each others first everything) I'm still not fully healed.

Sometimes you start to realize you love them but you’re not in love with them and that’s okay.

We were together for 5 years and I broke up with him 5 months ago. We were together since 16 but had been friends since 12. We were each other's first everything. At the start of our relationship, I thought of forever and he did too, until the first time we broke up at 19. 3 years in a relationship and he told me that he wanted to break up because he resented me for my mental health in our first year of dating. That reason is fine enough because my mental was so bad and he took on all of it, but to not have spoken about it for the 2 years we spent after? When I had worked on my mental health and we spent every day happy since? To find out that was how he viewed me all this time, it broke the "forever" in my mind. It took 3 months before we got back together, but we were never the same. I didn't believe in forever anymore, not for the next 2 years we stayed together, but I really tried. In the end, he wanted me to change who I was, claiming I didn't love myself and that I need to be more inviting to others. It took me 1 day to realize that, actually, I do love myself and this was who I was. He wanted me to change and I wanted him to accept me. In the end, we apparently had different goals in life. Goals that we had agreed on from the start, suddenly he didn't want anymore. He stopped showing up for me and giving me love, claiming that he would've if I put in the effort to change for him. I have flaws, of course, but most of them I worked on and I like to think I've improved as a person. He must not have agreed despite my efforts. I broke up with him 5 months ago, but mentally it was 9. When I had to spend 2 weeks away from home for work and realized how at ease I felt being without him. I contemplated it since, but still tried. In the end, I couldn't take it anymore. I sometimes find old videos and photos of us, and I'm at a stage where it doesn't fill me with regret or longing. I see me and him, young and foolishly in love like our world that we had planned won't crumble at our feet one day, and I smile. I loved him dearly and still have love for him, but I'll never choose him again. It was scary at first, but now I'm finally at peace.

I met my wife when I was 19 and she was 20, she isn't the same woman I met when I was 19, nor the same woman I married when I was 22, she wasn't the same woman when we had our son when I was 23, not even now at 26. we both have changed, and we have kept some annoying things we do from the past, but we love each other so much that there hasn't been a day since we lived together that we haven't spent the night in the same house. she's my life until the day I die.

My fiancée and I dated from grade 11 until 2nd year of uni and decided we needed time a part to be our own person. We never planned to get back together and went fully no contact. A few years later we reconnected as new people and found we had an ever stronger relationship from experiencing life. THIS IS NOT A SIGN TO GET BACK WITH YOUR EX 💀💀

I ended a 7 year relationship because we had different values and different ways of living. Three years later I met my current boyfriend and I’m so grateful I did. Sometimes a breakup isn’t the end it’s the beginning of something that’s much more aligned with who you are🤍

To all the people saying they “outgrew” someone. You don’t out grow someone you love. Just say you felt like you could do better and move on

A backtest by itself means almost nothing. You can make an equity curve look incredible if you optimize enough s*** on the same historical data. The real question is: does the strategy survive when you statistically try to break it? That’s what we did with ORB. We used walk-forward optimization: optimize in-sample, lock the parameters, then test them on the next unseen out-of-sample period. Then roll everything forward and repeat. And before some empiricist comes in here screaming “DATA MINING BIAS” 😂 Yes, we thought about that too. This isn’t a strategy with 47 indicators and 100 parameters that we tortured until something worked. The ORB framework is intentionally simple with relatively few degrees of freedom. More importantly, we weren’t searching for one magical parameter combination. We wanted stability across neighboring configurations and different walk-forward windows. And that’s what we found. The strategy passed across the entire OOS% / walk-forward-run grid tested rather than surviving in one lucky pocket. The majority of rolling OOS windows were profitable, and no single period generated more than half of the total profit. That helps us attack: Curve fitting → repeatedly test unseen data. Look-ahead → lock parameters before the next chronological OOS period. Data mining → limit degrees of freedom and look for broad stability instead of one perfect result. Lucky-period dependence → make sure one abnormal period isn't responsible for the strategy. Then comes the test no statistical validation can replace: Run the d*** thing live. Because none of this guarantees future profitability. We eventually deployed these systems ourselves, have successfully received prop-firm payouts with them, and have had members receive payouts as well. That’s the entire point. If you want to see the multiple ORB variations and the data behind them - visit the link in our bio! #daytrading #futures #orb #propfirmstrategy #automatedtrading
