@clarifying_christianity: We attribute evil to the devil because he embodies and promotes it, but context matters. Human beings make their own choices and are responsible for their actions. Blaming the devil for every act of evil ignores personal responsibility. While he can tempt or influence, he cannot force anyone to sin, nor is he everywhere at once.
