Stars don't actually "twinkle." The effect, known as stellar scintillation, happens because the star's light passes through Earth's turbulent atmosphere.
As the light hits different layers of air with varying temperatures and densities, it refracts (bends), causing the star to appear to shift slightly in position and brightness.
Almost every element heavier than hydrogen and helium was created inside a star.
When massive stars explode as supernovae, they scatter these elements (like carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen.)across the universe.
