@romantravels: Travelling has taught me that every trip comes with a mix of highs and lows. Last night my flight was delayed twice. Normally I’d be frustrated but because of the delays I ended up exploring parts of Kuala Lumpur Airport I’d never seen before including the beautiful gardens. It turned something frustrating into an unexpected highlight. I finally arrived in Jakarta late at night and checked into a hostel. It’s actually a really nice place but I’d forgotten what hostel life is like. You save a bit of money but you usually pay for it with a little less sleep. Today has been much slower. I’ve been wandering around the city trying some local food catching up on editing getting a bit of work done and simply taking Jakarta in. I think that’s what I love most about travelling. Things rarely go exactly to plan but sometimes the unexpected moments end up being the ones you remember the most.
