I think what people aren’t understanding is that the clarity that Aniya was actually seeking wasn’t reassurance, it was for KC to be honest and say “I don’t really like you like that” because it has come to light that that is how he truly felt this whole time, but he refused to tell her that. So no, KC is not right.

Honestly, even after all this back and forth, I just feel like the root problem with them was how KC never managed to square away how he went from “if it happens, it happens” on exploring to “I’m good where I’m at” and THAT is what Aniya was investigating when she constantly hounded him for answers. I think she was just very thrown off on how to interpret his lack of initiation, because he clearly wanted to talk to Sol but denied himself the opportunity. That problem led to her feeling like she was the road-block and, with the other boys constantly questioning her couple, she felt the need to check him. Where I’m lost when it comes to KC tho is how he could completely blow Aniya off when she obviously showed how much she desired him by coming back single from Casa

I feel like he communicated she just didn’t like the answers he gave her. Also something I keep pointing out that no one seems to mention when he gave his reasons “I poured into you and I never got the same.” Her picking him wasn’t her showing and expression of interest, she picked him because no one else wanted her or talked to her.

I love love love Aniya. She’s so bubbly and sweet. I don’t get the hate in the slightest. I think KC has a lot of growing to do but it seems like he really does feel bad but has no clue how to make it right. And before he can figure it out he’s gotta defend himself again. I just want to see clips of KC not being honest. Everything i see is him telling he wants to still explore and her lowkey trying to manipulate him into not doing such. I understand why she’s hurt but we can’t call it disrespect. Just seems like he was extremely patient and outside forces kept poking holes in there relationship.

I almost completely agree with you. But I challenge you to question if it’s possible that KC was being completely honest. That people can experience two conflicting emotions at the same time. As much as KC was interested in Aniya, he also has the capacity to also be curious in Sol. The cool part of this experiment is that it’s made to challenge people and for them to fill those exact curious emotions, for them to eventually choose. And in this experiment, we get to see how people navigate that and react to that.

A big instance, he said he thinks Sol is pretty but he doesn’t wanna ruin what he has with Aniya. The last instance he said he’d explore Sol if she was there. And Aniya walked off as usual

That’s so rude to call it sad to watch. Have u ever tried to emotionally express yourself while people are constantly screaming at you and cutting you off? Plenty of people who side with KC can see the humanity in Aniya. But it’s the disgusting disregard for KC as a person who has to live in this world outside of love island that’s horrible to watch.

Now this is valid and objective take. I'm a KC defender but only when I feel like Aniya defenders aren't being objective. No one is a victim and no one is villain. They're both complicit in the demise of their connection. They both deserve grace and they both should be held accountable. I'm not trying to convince anyone that KC is blameless. And that's why the KC v Aniya discussion has no endpoint there's no winner or loser in this, no one wholly responsible for the blame. There is no blame in this. It just is.

This is the most well balanced take I’ve seen about both of them and I’m an Aniya defender. I understand where you are coming from on KC, despite his behavior because he was dehumanizing Aniya. I’m glad they went their separate ways and both apologized. I hope they don’t reconnect after the show either. I have dated a KC in my early twenties and it was so exhausting trying to talk to him about anything important because he was too slow to keep up with the conversation. I dumped him shortly after bc I didn’t have the energy to try to explain everything to him like he was 5 years old. Very glad I never stayed! Really appreciated this breakdown.
