Meta has agreed to a proposed settlement worth up to approximately $17 billion over allegations involving how Facebook and Instagram affect children and teens. The agreement comes after a bipartisan coalition of state attorneys general accused Meta of designing features that encouraged compulsive use among young users, misleading families about platform safety and improperly collecting children's data. 📱 And this isn't just about money.
