I had this take, but then thought about it. He may never get a chance to go to the WC with his dad. Did he even say how long it took him to save that? Cause for some it don’t take that long. Not everyone’s financial situation is the same and some memories are priceless.

I’d argue the opposite and that’s what is right about it, a man making timeless, lifelong memories with his father is worth more than any joy a house can give you. Life isn’t all about creating ‘generational wealth’, it’s living the life YOU want to live and enjoying the short time we get on this planet

We dont know the details of his financial situation, he could have a very comfortable decent paying job that allows him to rent and still have a large amount of money left to spare. In that case it’s not really a detriment for him to blow all that money on a once in a lifetime world cup trip. Maybe living his life to the max while he’s young is more important to him than buying a house he can’t take with him once he’s dead.
