@theplanttechie: Have you ever seen a ginkgo tree? 🌳🍂 It’s one of the oldest living tree species on Earth, with a lineage dating back over 290 million years! 🤯 Often called a living fossil, the ginkgo has survived while its closest relatives disappeared long ago. Its iconic fan-shaped leaves turn a brilliant golden yellow each fall, making it one of the most stunning landscape trees around. 💛 Just remember, if you’re planting one, choose a male tree unless you want the famously smelly fruit! 😂 A big thanks to Brownswood Nursery & Landscape for letting me feature this incredible tree! 🙌🌿 Have you ever spotted a ginkgo in person? 👇🍂 #Ginkgo #LivingFossil #Trees #LearnOnTikTokContest #GardeningTikTokContest

In rare cases, a male tree can grow female branches that produce fruit!

Kroger near me has several female trees. I harvested some fruit, and grew the seeds! They smell exactly like vomit. A very interesting species, though. Very suitable for bonsai!
