@youth_cost_crisis.uk: Ever wondered where your taxes are going? The UK’s new defence plan is here, and it’s eye-watering. From £55 billion in total defence spending to thousands of new army personnel, submarines, fighter jets, £1.2B in cybersecurity, and £4B on drones & AI - the numbers are staggering. But when you zoom out, the global impact of these policies is relatively small compared to the cost. Swipe through this TikTok carousel to see the shocking breakdown of army, navy, and RAF upgrades, international deployments, and cutting-edge tech investment. Is it worth it? Are these figures protecting you or just inflating the budget? Must see for anyone concerned about UK security and taxpayer money. #UKDefence #MilitaryBudget #ShockingCosts #NetZeroTaxes #MustSee

55 billion of it is public sector pensions. There’s a shortfall of 5 billion to pay for it with current contributions, so the gov tops it up. I’m happy for nurses or the armed forces ect to get a good retirement fund but civil servants like in the DWP, their contributions are massive for simple pen pushing jobs.

Tax the rich. Not income tax but on their assets. That way if they leave they either sell their assets or pay the tax on the money's derived from these assets.

its very badly managed money, goverment councils, nhs al. no one seems accountable for anything. its not the money theg are getting its how they use it. I believe they could have less and if managed correctly we wpuld have more. I have familly friends and colleges in gov jobs and I see this miss managment all over. So with this in mind I can only see it getting worse. Im a self employed person who has a small unit split into 2, i have half the other rented. unfortunatly now I will have to do 10 sets of books a year. 4 Q self employed and 4 landlord plus 2 end of year. I dont see the point in this and I cant afford it, so ill be selling the unit, which also means i cant work the same either. I may have to stop work aswell as im ill and cant fo certain jobs. not to mention the unit counsil tax has gone up quadrupile, they will say its discounted, whichbon paper is correct but its always been discounted. So they could have put up slowly, not x4.

If your waiting for the government to make your life better then you will be living a miserable existence. Hard work and dedication is the only way to make your future better

True Crime Obsessed :
Our taxes all go to paying the interest on the national debt. Interest that is attached to currency that is created out of thin air and has no intrinsic value. What ever we spend on the NHS and roads etc., is credit.
