Their bond, trust, loyalty, and brotherhood was so beautiful. And the fact that is season 4 this is what Princess Mithian told Merlin: Mithian: "I know how much Arthur values your opinion." Merlin: "My opinion? I'm just his servant." Mithian: "You're much more than that. He cares more about what you think than anyone else. If I'm to win his heart, I need to win yours first." I think that is so beautiful because it shows that Arthur doesn't even realize how obvious it is to everyone else that he values Merlin's judgment above his councilors and knights. And when Princess Mithian realizes that if Merlin dislikes her, the marriage is basically doomed because Arthur trusts Merlin's instincts implicitly. Its such a great show, I'm so happy that I was able to grow up with this. ❤️
