Not cheap at all. A friend of mine is renting a 2025 Toyota Corolla and using it for Uber. They charge him $350 a week or $1400 a month. $1400 a month for a Corolla isn't cheap!

All the people in this comment talking about you can buy a car for $3000 a $3000 car cannot handle digging rideshare work where you’re putting 800 to 1000 miles on your car a week consistently

Nah. Those apps don’t even pay good enough to justify renting a car. Get a Toyota even a 99 and call it day.

Better check that rental agreement. I don't think they'll allow you to use it for delivery like that.

If you own your vehicle you will also be able to take off for mileage on your taxes..Thats a huge right off..Can't do that on a rental.

Your personal insurance does not cover using it for gig work.

Obviously, the situation isn’t the same for everybody. That said my insurance full coverage costs $75 a month. My car payment is 150 a month. I spent 200 a month in gas. I’m not sure how on earth it would be cheaper to rent a vehicle or take Ubers everywhere.

Only if you are in the mindset of owning new. People too worried about what others think of them and want to get new. Lots of decent used cars out there.

No it's not cheaper...$400 a week depending on the car...I had Malibu for $400 a week before gas then Uber takes their 60%....you remain with nothing...

It’s not so much about it be cheaper. It’s just it saves wearing tear on the owner’s car.

I pay $383 a week for the Uber rental, unlimited mileage, includes full insurance, if damage to the car happens I get another vehicle. Im making $275 a day, on the road to making 100k in 1 year. I'll never own a vehicle no time soon.
