I had a similar issue. I went to the ER for appendicitis and I got an mri and they told me everything looked fine and I didn’t have appendicitis. I continued to have pain for 2 years. During those two years I had countless tests done, scans, surgery and even at one point was checked for cancer. My GI doctor was finally out of options and I had to get exploratory surgery to then find out I had appendicitis the whole time. The doctors originally lied to me saying that my appendix looked totally normal but the whole time it was hidden so it never showed on any scans.

What’s crazy is I has the opposite of this, doctors insisted it was appendicitis, gave me some medicine, I passed out then my boyfriend at the time looked up a gynecologist, begged him to see me and he tried to play with me as well until he did an ultrasound and the room got extremely quiet. He told me to pack a bag and head to the hospital for emergency surgery because I had a 10cm cyst on my ovary.

people severely underestimate the power of "are you willing to testify against the doctor that claimed they performed a full hysterectomy on me?"

People need to be educated of hysterectomies. If they take your uterus, tubes, and cervix that’s considered a full hysterectomy.

There are hysterectomies where they keep the ovaries. So maybe she assumes it was a full hysterectomy and not just a hysterectomy.

I've had practitioners feel for my removed ovary numerous times. I tell them prior to every exam that I had an oopherectomy.

I work in pathology and I had called about a mistake in specimen site because it said hysterectomy with bilateral ovaries but she only had one. The surgeon stormed in asking if I thought he was wrong. I showed him and then told him her previous ovary surgery was in her history. “I mean that is what she said but..”. I’m sorry who would lie about that?!

check the op notes. some hysterectomies are per with the ovaries intact. usually at the patient's request

I had severe abdominal pain and my Dr told me to lose weight, cut out dairy, maybe it was a diverticulosis.... I finally asked for a referral to the obgyn and I had a large cyst on my ovary that had ruptured
I was also an untreated diabetic... and needed my gallbladder out

I went to a Gyn bc my primary though my pain might be endo. I had had this pain for two years and I kept just dealing with it until I couldn't. The gyno said it was gas. I said "for two years?" and she told me it was most likely all the fried food I was eating. I told her I don't have any fried foods- I have Celiac. She giggled at me and said I'd see soon. Anyway- it was a double hernia
