Jamaican banks overall do not offer POD. You would be required to move the funds to another product for eg aninvestment account and add him as a beneficiary. Usually no in person visit is needed with these products.

I understand your sentiments completely 🥺. If you haven't already, I would also encourage you to have a life insurance policy in place. You are able to add a beneficiary/ beneficiaries without the need for those documents. This is one of my areas of expertise. Also, regarding the will, it is advised to have an attorney involved in the process.

First of all on your account put a beneficiary. I don't know about Jamaica, in US you can set up a power of attorney with special clause, on how he/she should spend and access your money if something should happen to you, example if you're sick, etc. There are many different ways. Speak to a lawyer.
