It's not just the avo. In my case provisional orders were made for children to live with mum and then after a year they said because father was absent for a year then we give children to mum! I wasn't absent, they created that provisional orders based on nothing and they used that against me!

Usually the AVO is taken out and only the actual adult is named on it not the childrens name, so then the one who has the AVO against them can still see the children, unless the situation was very horrendous then it will also include the childrens names.

This happened to one of the most lovely men I have met that I knew for 20 years! The wife had an affair and the marriage fell apart; the court case of her going after the whole family business money, moving across the country with the children and not allowing them to speak to the father… the DV/AVO concept was introduced six months after proceeding started. I’m a middle-aged female and I have seen way too many examples of this from people I thought we were friends. I refuse to have friends with these values.!!!

the police & the family court not only support these lies, they encourage them. Once an interim AVO is put in place, the man is left at whim of the woman's lies which the police support
