1.you need to apply early!! i turned on microsoft job notifications on so i would be able to apply as soon as it came out. I also spoke to people who had previously done the internship to know around when the application would come out so I had my resume ready before hand. 2.your resume needs to be solid use the xyz bullet point method when structuring your bullet points. Make sure your resume conveys your passion for tech, but also leadership experience, projects, organizations, classes, etc. Recruiters only look at your resume for a few seconds so you need to make it count 3.get involved on campus if your project is just straight classes you took, languages you know, and any professional experience, ur gonna lose out to someone who has that PLUS leadership experience and on campus involvement. being a TA for instance looks really good on your resume, and while its not internship experience, it shows your involvement and passion for tech 4.technical interview prep don’t overthink this. Use platforms like neetcode and leetcode and YouTubers like Abdul Bari to make DSA click and simple. Company interview questions are all out on the internet, or ask people who have interned there what types of questions they usually ask 5.behavioral interview prep So many people skip this and thats a bigggg mistake. you need to be able to convey your experience in a clear and concise manner while highlighting how you would be a good fit for the role. You need to practice saying these types of questions out loud or else theres a good chance ur gonna ramble in the actual interview 6.the actual interview!!
