When I was 14, my parents refused to help me get a car. Back then, every show I watched made it seem like parents saved up to help their kids get started in life. That was the moment I realized my path wasn't going to be that easy. I worked, saved for college, and took out student loans. My parents told me all the money had to go into their bank account, so I trusted them. My savings went into their account, and so did my student loans. I packed my car with everything I owned, ready to leave for my first semester. The day before I was supposed to go, my dad told me he had spent all of the money... on a boat. I never got to start college that semester, and I spent the next three years paying back loans for an education I never received. I was told I didn't deserve to go to college. That was also the day I decided I would never have children. Not because I don't like kids, but because I couldn't imagine rewarding the people who stole my future with grandchildren.

actually,I have thought about this. The moment the child makes 3 years, it's life is over. they start school, waking up early for school, leaving late to go home and continue with school through homework, then the burn out with exams till the age of about 22-23, then hunt for jobs as the juggle with the unfair adult life. 😭

I love my potential children too much to bring them into the world where they would need to suffer just to exist as much as I (and majority of the people) do. That is my final act of love, to be compassionate enough to understand that my maternal instinct is not more important than their wellbeing in a world where they would surely be subjected to the system I don't agree with.
