don't decode as 5.1 if you don't have a surround sound 5.1 setup. if you just have a TV, decode in stereo. sending 5.1 audio to a stereo setup can (not always) create popping sounds after watching or listening for a while. again, not always so it it hasn't happened to you then carry on but it's happened to many others.

Thanks for the knowledge sir! I'm an og napster kid but I haven't burned a disk in some yeeeaaarrrrsss 🤣😂🥴 I'm also tired of companies putting out disk copies of a couple seasons of something and then switching to stream only for the rest 🙄

you are not turning a DVD into a real Blu-ray 😂 You are just putting DVD-quality video onto a Blu-ray disc/format. The source is still DVD. That is like putting cheap cola in a champagne bottle and calling it champagne 🤣
