@roberthourmont: Two brutal attacks. Two continents. Two Ukrainian men. One city behind both of them. In February, Igor Komarov — 28, son of a Dnipro crime figure — was abducted in Bali, tortured on camera, and later found dismembered. In his ransom video, he described a coordinated fraud ring operating out of Dnipro, posing as bank security staff to trick Russian pensioners into moving their savings into "safe" accounts the scammers controlled. Last week, Vadym Yermolaiev — a Ukrainian-born millionaire, also from Dnipro — was injured along with his partner and 13-year-old son when a bomb went off at their Monaco home. His adult son Artur is a convicted scam operator, found guilty in Estonia of running a phone investment fraud that stole roughly €100 million from victims across multiple European countries. These are not the same perpetrators, and no one is claiming the two attacks are operationally linked. But both networks trace back to the same source: Dnipro, Ukraine — long known as the country's "capital of phone fraud." It's not one single operation, though. Dnipro hosts multiple, separate scam-call networks running in parallel, each targeting different victim pools — some, like Komarov's, focused on Russian citizens, others, like Yermolaiev's son's network, focused on victims across Europe. Separately busted Dnipro-based networks have also been tied to hundreds of millions of dollars in losses, with victims spanning Russia, the EU, and beyond. Strip away the geography and the pattern is hard to ignore: money made scamming ordinary people in different countries, funneled through Dnipro-based operations — and now violence catching up with the families behind it, thousands of miles from home, in places where they thought their money bought them safety. It's a reminder that the scam call-center economy isn't some victimless white-collar hustle. Real money gets stolen from real people worldwide, and increasingly, real violence follows the people behind it. #ScamCallCenters #Dnipro #Bali #Monaco #FraudExposed
