It’s better for most nyers to take the subway cause we don’t live in midtown and it’s cheaper

Depends where you’re going. Also peak will be about a $4.25 difference. If you need to go anywhere besides Penn or grand central, you’ll need to take the subway in addition anyway.

If you want to get to Penn station sure. But if not you’re gonna end up on the subway anyway. LIRR is $7 subway is $3 but you’ll end up paying that $3 no matter what so $11 for LIRR or $3 for MTA. 🤷🏾♀️

Bad advice. The LIRR doesn’t always have a ton of trains late at night. The subway runs 24/7. The subway is $3 for the whole ride. If you take the LIRR, you get to Penn Station, grand central, or Atlantic terminal and then have to take another bus or train to get where you need to go.
