@tomsguide: If you’re watching Portugal today, your match-day snack just got an upgrade 🇵🇹⚽ I turned iconic Portuguese colors and flavors into Ninja Creami recipes, including a Pastel de Nata-inspired pint that’s almost too good to share... but I got you guys! Pastel del Nata ice cream in the Ninja Creami recipe: Ingredients: • 3 large eggs • 1/3 cup granulated sugar • 1 cup whole milk • 1/2 cup of heavy cream • 1 cinnamon stick • 1/8 tsp kosher salt • Garnish: 1/4 sheet of puff pastry + ground cinnamon. 1. Steep the aromatics: In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, cinnamon stick, and salt. Heat over medium-low heat until it’s steaming and gently simmering around the edges (do not boil). Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 20 minutes to infuse the flavors. 2. Whisk the yolks: In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until pale and slightly thickened. 3. Temper and cook: Remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel from the milk mixture. Reheat the milk slightly if it has cooled down too much. Slowly drizzle about half of the warm milk into the egg yolks while whisking constantly (this tempers the eggs so they don't scramble). 4. Thicken the custard: Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the rest of the milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly with a rubber spatula, until the custard thickens enough to coat the back of the spatula (about 170°F on a thermometer). 5. Cool and freeze: Strain the custard through a fine-mesh sieve into your empty Creami pint to ensure it is completely smooth. Let it cool to room temperature, place the lid on, and freeze on a level surface for exactly 24 hours. 6. Bake the pastry: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Bake the puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet until it is deeply golden brown and very crispy (about 15 minutes). Let it cool completely, then shatter it into bite-sized flakes. 7. Spin: Remove the pint from the freezer and lock it into your Creami. Run the ice cream or Gelato program. (If it looks crumbly after the first spin, add a tablespoon of milk and hit Re-spin). Sprinkle the pastries and you're done. #portugal #ninjacreami #creamirecipes #worldcup #portugal🇵🇹
