My Theory Exactly!!: What if From is basically a game between the BIW and the MIY? The MIY’s side is control, fear, monsters, and manipulation, while the BIW’s side is knowledge, memories, and guiding people toward the truth. The BIW saying “they’ll win this time” could mean he’s seen that this cycle is different because the right people are finally here: Tabitha, Jade, Boyd, Victor, Julie, Ethan, etc. They’ve already done things previous cycles never did. Maybe the BIW isn’t stronger because he can fight—the difference is his “team” finally has the pieces to break the cycle, while the MIY is trying to stop them before they remember everything.
