Great post Vivian! So many of my clients chose this path, and in their 40s, are divorcing and scared. A prenup or a post nup that financially protects you. Make sure to take into consideration the financial sacrifices you're making now.

If you're going to go the stay at home route, it should only be done once you have kids, not before. Work until the first baby, and keep a high yield savings account and maybe think about passive income. If you have a long and happy marriage, congratulations that is absolutely fantastic. And if something happens, well at least you planned ahead so you aren't screwed.
