My office has this rule and even when I want just 1 day off, I am usually given 2-3 days off and they don’t accept digital call ones, so I always have to go in person. My hausarzt was like you would get extra sick if you come for basic stuff on day 1. I used to be like I can’t do anything about it. Now with this, it’s gonna be worrrseeeeee

In the UK, you don't need a sick note until 1 week. If your company wants it, you can complete a self referral form or they, the company, has to pay for your certificate to be issued from the NHS. If your sickness is too frequent or too long, that's a discussion for HR to determine whether there are ways to give you better accessibility to your job, or whether you're medically unfit to do the job.
