Welcome to the 40 Club, my friend. 🥳 One year ago this month, I had my latest interview with Lindsay Lohan and she gave me one of the greatest compliments of my dedicated entertainment journalism career, choosing to say to me at the end of our playful and thoughtful conversation, “You always ask the best questions.” This “Freakier Friday” interview was supposed to be in-person in LA, but it was my dad’s 70th birthday in the Midwest, so our latest chat had to, yet again, be done virtually. Being a professional interviewer consistently for the past 18 years, one of my greatest gifts that I have acquired over time is having the unique ability to truly read people - the good and the bad - on another level than the average person can see and do. Lindsay is one of the most fascinating, refreshingly real and naturally warm human beings that I have had the joy of interacting with multiple times now. Knowing how Lindsay grew up in the public eye and has been interviewed countless times throughout her life-long acting career, having her compliment my carefully crafted and original interview questions for her is a something that I will forever cherish and it’s moments like this one that keep me motivated to know that I am in fact doing the impactful and passionate work that I am meant to be doing… #LindsayLohan
