@itvnews: A police force says it has shut down the biggest cannabis farm it’s ever dealt with thanks to an officer’s sense of smell. More than 4,800 plants worth almost £5 million were hauled from the farm inside a disused industrial unit on Botany Avenue in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Police have said. The large-scale grow was discovered after a neighbourhood police officer came across what was described as an “overwhelming” smell of cannabis while patrolling another industrial estate neighbouring the street back in May. Six men have now been jailed for their role in the illicit enterprise after being found trying to hide within the premises. All pleaded guilty to their involvement in the production of Class B drugs at Nottingham Crown Court, and were jailed this week to more than 13 years collectively. #cannabis
