My hair did this my very early 20s. It went from dark to Stark White back to dark. It ended up being a vitamin deficiency and period of health decline that I was able to correct. 🤷🏻♀️

I hope the full interview explains how to reverse it and the window available to reverse it. In my 20s, I noticed the last 2-3 inches of one strand was grey/colorless and the newer part was my original pigment. But I don’t know if that holds for me now as I approach 50. My hypothesis is the our true timing is when we begin to see body hair turning grey. Before then is the reversible window.
