My husband finally physically left after nine months of living with him, knowing we were going to split up. I had to wait until my kid graduated from high school. I now have the freedom to rediscover what I like without the fear of his displeasure that my preferences will bother, annoy or upset him. I’m moving in the right direction!

Wow, I just crossed over to this today. I was making a list of all of the things I sacrificed in relationships that didn’t benefit me and realized my ownership in it. How I enabled and played my own role in my long standing narrative.

I appreciate how you put into words the Work with focus on the work being within. I feel that the required Work you just explained is to reveal the root of our blockades that we create unknowingly. I think this knowledge is often minimized, dressed up and repackaged and sold back to us through various means that are meant to generate money or influence for someone else. A quote that always sticks with me is "No one stands to gain when humans can heal themselves".

The time, sweat, tears, and money I’ve spent on cognitive therapy and if I’m being honest, it only made me worse. And on anti-depressants numbing the problem and just staying stuck but THIS is all I ever needed. Thank you for these posts.

thankyou Trish. I needed to hear this one today. I'm learning that this work is not linear. just when I think I'll handle my triggers really well, I kinda trip, and a new test comes along. maybe what's changed for me is the awareness kicks in earlier than it used too, and I realise before the reactive behaviour kicks in at full throttle, like it used too. looking forward to our next session. 2 days I think. ❤️
