@shaktishambhala: Sitting All Day? Your Hips Will Love These 4 Moves! Counteract stiff hips from prolonged sitting with four simple exercises that improve mobility, increase active flexibility, and build strength through your full range of motion. Slow, controlled movement is key.. Perform each exercise for 45–60 seconds for 2–3 rounds. ⚠️ Stop if you have pain. Consult your healthcare practitioner before starting any exercise program. ✨Half-Kneeling Hip Slides: Begin seated with one knee bent underneath you and the opposite foot planted on the floor. Place your hands behind your hips for support. Press through your grounded foot and hands as you gently glide your hips forward, then return to the starting position with control. Repeat, then switch sides. 💡Why It Works: Improves hip mobility while building strength and control through the hips and pelvis. ✨90/90 Hip Switches: Begin seated in a 90/90 position. Keeping your chest lifted, press through your hands as needed and rotate your knees to switch to the opposite 90/90 position. Move slowly with control, keeping both sit bones as close to the floor as comfortable. 💡Why It Works:Improves hip internal and external rotation while building active mobility, control, and stability through the hips. ✨Seated Hip Sweeps: Begin in Staff Pose with both legs extended. Bend one knee, placing the foot on the floor. Lift the opposite leg and slowly sweep it out to the side, then return to center with control. Repeat, then switch sides. 💡Why It Works: Improves active hip mobility and strengthens the hip flexors while building control through the hips and core. ✨Hip Stack & Sweep: Begin in tabletop with your hands under your shoulders and knees under your hips. Extend one leg out to the side. Keeping the leg lifted, arc it over a block and sweep it behind you. Cross the leg behind the other, then lower your hips to the floor with your knees stacked. Press back up to tabletop and repeat with control. 💡Why It Works: Improves hip mobility, control, and stability while strengthening the hips and core. #yoga #mobility #stretching #workoutmotivation #motivation
