My app currently doesn’t have a backend. But if it ever does, java is my first choice. And to ppl that think its syntax is too complex: less complex syntax doesn’t guarantee less complex code base, which java ironically does really well

I don't understand the constant debate about "which programming language is best/better". all programming languages were created to solve particular problems. listen to all the creators of these coding languages, and you'll find that each was one had their own challenge/s. As far as this debate, who ever thinks JAVA is dead, clearly 😳 has not been in the tech industry. they probably learned a JS tutorial and now think that's the best language 🤨

I spent 26 years programming in C and C++ and during that time till now Java is my main scientific research and algorithm design language including my home made programming tools are all written in Java, also every R&D lab uses Java heavily in research such Siemens and IBM.
