Recognize this a bit in my wife but towards asexual. She started thinking that maybe she was ace a while into us being together, and she felt she could think about it. It didn't help that her ex treated her like crap so she felt forced to or as you said conditioned to it. I just feel happy she felt safe to think about it and find herself.
