Authorities later identified the victims as 42 year old Shannon Patricia Youngworth and her 20 year old son, Jorge Alexander Reyes Youngworth. Investigators say the suspects attempted to destroy evidence before fleeing, unaware that much of the attack had been captured by security cameras inside the home. One of the most heartbreaking details came from the surviving children. According to investigators, the older child instinctively led the younger sibling away from the scene, shielding them from witnessing even more of the tragedy. Moments later, officers arrived after responding to a 911 call placed from the home.
