@nbcnews: Following a historic agreement with France, the Bayeux Tapestry, a 70-metre-long artwork depicting events leading up to the Battle of Hastings and the Norman Conquest of England in 1066, will be loaned to the British Museum from September 2026 to July 2027. People keen to see the Bayeux Tapestry on display faced online queues of up to nine hours when tickets went on sale for the first time.
The Normans were the most important group of people in western history, apart from Rome. I can see why folks are waiting
