@jacquescoaches: pike push-ups are one of the most underrated progression tools for building shoulder strength and actually learning to balance upside down. most guys do pike push-ups for a few weeks and then get bored and stop. they don't realize they're literally one step away from a game-changing skill. once you can do fifteen solid pike push-ups your body already understands the pressing pattern. your shoulders are strong enough. your core has the stability. the only missing piece is the balance component. that's when you start playing with pike press to handstand transitions. you do a pike push-up but instead of pressing straight up you press slightly forward so your body goes upside down. suddenly you're learning the balance mechanics in a super safe way. your feet can still touch the ground. you can bail instantly. but you're getting real upside down training. from there you progress to wall-assisted handstands. then hand balancing. then free-standing. it's a logical progression that actually makes sense. the problem is most guys don't know this pathway exists. they do random training. they jump around. they never commit to a progression long enough to see real results. once you can do fifteen pike push-ups you have the platform to build actual advanced skills. if you want to learn the complete pathway to mastering calisthenics skills, link in bio ❗ follow @jacquescoaches #calisthenics #progression #training #gym #skills
