As a former decathlete track athlete and all American track athlete telling you this, this is awesome Parenting. This is not abuse. This is supporting your child’s dreams and you’re helping her put in the work that is needed to reach goals that she may not have thought were possible beforehand with just the regular school practices. You’re also giving her support and being present in what she enjoys so therefore, she knows she’s never alone. To be the top track athlete back in my day I practiced two hours before practice in two hours after practice so a total of five hours a day and on weekends I also practice so keep it up and you will keep meeting goals that you never thought were possible.

as a mom and a coach, of competitive baseball players . 💯 we put in the practice. we do it safely and do as much indoor as we can when we are cancelled for heat advisory. you are setting her up for success. sometimes the school or city will close our fields and we lean to improvise
