@onewildlifer: It's on! Insane black bear fight! OK, it's not so much a fight as fun between two yearling siblings. And yes, this is actually good practice for when the real fights take place. Now let's talk a bit about who these two are. You've already "met" them and their mom in past posts. Last year I shared the true story of how their mom had four cubs and lost two to a male bear. These young males are the survivors. Mom did a superb job, they are in magnificent condition for yearlings!! And their impressive size may be a combo of mom's skills and powerful genes! Local experts inform me that their mom, who is a big girl herself, had mated with a huge male I call Tank... for obvious reasons. Now here's one way where nature is just cool as can be. It's possible that "Tank" is not the father or he's the father of only one. Like deer, female black bears may mate with multiple males, meaning cubs from the same litter can have different fathers.
