I taught third grade a couple years ago and for our annual literacy parade the ladies landed on “book fairies” as our theme. I quietly said “I got this” and built a giant wearable boat out of spare cardboard and called myself the “book ferry.” Even got to wear my yacht rock captain’s hat.
