Abandoned Soviet workshop for testing military radars. Someone recently asked me about this place, so I decided to share some photos of how it looked in its original state. Nowadays there are plenty of videos from here, and people have even started giving the machines nicknames like "Moon Rovers." But when we found it, the place looked completely different. There were many more radar units and satellite dishes, and most of the equipment was still intact. The most interesting part, though, was how we found it. The location was hidden inside a well-known abandoned factory that seemed to have been explored from top to bottom. One of my friends, who was exploring with us, had a grandfather who used to work there. He told us about a set of isolated rooms where military radars had once been tested. We eventually found the place, but there was one problem: a small security booth inside the workshop with a few men who definitely didn't share our passion for urban exploration. We first tried to get in through the ventilation system, and after that failed, we ended up improvising with ropes. It was absolutely worth it. Walking into a place when you already know exactly what's inside can never compare to hearing an old story, descending into the darkness, switching on your flashlight, and becoming the first to see what you now see in these photos. No spoilers. No expectations. Just pure discovery. Those are probably the best emotions urbex can offer. After all, it's called exploration, not a guided tour. #urbex #urbanexploration
