@the.manc: Born in Beijing, Ai Weiwei is known for his large scale and conceptual political activism artworks, and the exhibition titled ‘Button Up!’ taking place inside @Factory International is no exception. The installation includes two new commissions and other large-scale works, including ‘History of Bombs’ made up of 3.5 million toy bricks, which from far away has the illusion of a painting but step closer and you can see each detail piece by piece. This will be Ai Weiwei’s largest site specific show in the UK and truly isn’t one to be missed.
