When they tried to flag him down, he attempted to flee — acting suspiciously enough for officers to move in for an arrest. But the suspect resisted, and with the situation getting out of hand, one officer gave a subtle nod signalling for help. Without hesitation, two students sprinted in and helped bring him under control until he was successfully arrested. . After the arrest, the suspect — identified as 28-year-old Weerayut — was found with a sharp knife hidden under his seat. He was fined a total of 500 baht before being released with a warning.
