I would research them the way you you would when choosing a town to move into. FoM is my dream home where I will be settling down and SDV is the hometown I will always come back to visit. I hate to say it but I love my FoM love more, simply because FoM gave us more dialogue and dating gameplay that makes me feel more connected to her character. Also I had the hardest time choosing my love because all of the dateable are SO cute! Where I only love two or three of the datables in SDV. I am obsessed with FoM and it is not even fully launched yet. I cannot wait to see what they give us in years to come. They are not the same, nor are they better or worse, just different. I am very glad to be lucky enough to have them both. I would lose my 💩 if they gave us a collab some day!

For me Fields of Mistria is better than Stardew Valley. Fields of Mistria has everything Stardew Valley doesn't. Unfortunately, I didn't like Stardew Valley at all, either.

Absolutely agree that it feels much more immersive. I love that i feel like im actually HELPING the other townsfolk, instead of feeling like i’m the only person doing anything to fix up the world 😅. One of my biggest gripes with SDV is that the farmer shows up and suddenly i’m responsible for fixing EVERYTHING??

They’re so different! I still prefer SDV, as I prefer having a bit more difficulty and characters that are more flawed, but Mistria is absolutely my go to for a truly relaxed, frictionless experience. I’m happy they both exist ❤️

Love them both! We have so many games in the farming sim genre that are inspired by each other and they are all great. If someone wants a different experience, play Fields. It’s great.
