Cause most of the time people don’t admit it that it’s their suitcase/bag. Plus we ain’t got time for that. Crew is always under pressure to ensure the flight is on time. Passenger should have informed the crew as soon as they realised the suitcase is way too big for the overhead locker. To top it off crew shouldn’t be lifting passenger suitcases.

I was a flight attendant and they would’ve 100% of identified who suitcase it was then they would’ve had to put a tag on it to put it in the hold if it didn’t fit or have room for it

No because most of the time people won’t admit it’s there’s plus we have other things we need to do like give out infant seatbelts and life jackets and also brief our SCPS but yeah I would have at least went on the PA and asked

they should have informed the crew when they Couldn’t get it in locker and shut instead of leaving it and let the crew deal with it , the aircraft has to be secure and safe for take off which includes having the over heads closed properly .

I am a flight attendant and it’s the most irritating thing when you’re going round asking people whose bag it is and then when you go to move it someone sat there says excuse me that’s mine don’t move it! When they’re clearly heard you asking whose it is as they’re sat right there! If people were able to put their luggage away correctly we wouldn’t have to move people’s bags around all the time. The bag wouldn’t have been put in the hold as you have to put the customers details into the system to load a bag in the hold so it would’ve just been moved forward
