people literally not watching the show 😒 opaline is a natural born alicorn that came from the alicorn land skyros. in skyros she studied magic and got to wild that just like Lord Tirek she found a way to get more powerful by taking magic from others including dragons. she is the first alicorn in history to take dragons magic and fire btw. that's why she calls herself the fire alicorn. also she was band from skyros because she was getting to powerful and when she was banished to equestria. she saw the opportunity to get her strength back since the main six were getting old thay were more vulnerable. thats how she defeated them for a while but then twilight regained her strength and locked magic away in the unity crystals so opaline couldn't take anymore magic. only unity could make the crystals work again but opaline hated that and thats why twilight made the unity crystals

well she absorbed dragon magic, something they hadn't dealt with before, twilight them made the stupid decision to separate everyone by hiding all the magic again which is something she never would have done be ause her whole thing is uniting all species and she just went and did the complete opposite just to protect magic??? which btw, she technically stole everybody's magic to do so
