I only have one request from my masajids I asked for a safe space for the SEN community. Why can’t masjids be exclusive why can’t they be diverse. What use is the money that’s sitting why can’t we utilise the money to help the wider community!!

The elders looked over the whole process from the start including establishing the masjid etc and we owe it to them for being consistent so its hard to tell them to step aside and so much wisdom is needed to get a message across as not to disheartened or upset them.

I have one request for the congregations, don't come in on a jummah only and then dictate that this isn't right or that isn't right but get actively involved in the masjid....I would also suggest don't generalise as some masjids may be doing great jobs and if you shared what is also going good as well as highlighting what can be improved. there are goid and bad imams, good and bad committees and good and bad congregations!
